General information about the Dance Gypsy: what it is (a directory of traditional and folk dance events), how to get it (these web pages), who publishes it, how to list your dance event, how to help us, etc.
Include schedules of all regularly scheduled (e.g. weekly or monthly) or ongoing dances participatory traditional and folk dances throughout New England (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont) plus Eastern New York and Southern Quebec and Ontario. All forms of traditional participatory dance (folk, contra, square, English, Scottish, Balkan, International, Scandinavian, Israeli, etc.) are included. Entries include callers leaders and musicians, venue location, fees, and contact information.
The replacement for the Dance Gypsy Summer Planner, these pages list virtually every dance festival and dance camp anywhere in the US and Canada. Generally this list includes multi-day dance events throughout the country. The listings include all dance oriented events we know about (including things such as folk music festivals which have dancing as a portion of the festival). All forms of traditional participatory dance(folk, contra square, English, Scottish, Balkan, International, Scandinavian, Israeli, etc.) are included.
For the New England area the Festival Planner also lists special (one shot) single-day events which cannot be anticipated through the regular dance schedules listings.
Includes sections for callers, musicians, instructors and bands, Includes basic information such as the dance style, how to contact the person or group and cross references for upcoming performances.
Links and information about dance-related organizations and individuals. There are sections for dance and music organizations, other dance indices, vendors as well as a listing of foreign dance resources.

Contains information about changes or happenings in the dance community. It does not include press releases for individual dances.
Tells how to list your dance event or dance-related activity in the Dance Gypsy. These listings are free.
How to advertise your dance event or dance-related activity in the Dance Gypsy. Advertisements do require a nominal fee.
The Dance Gypsy does provide other services to the dance community. These include hosting web sites and Email forwarding. These services are described here.
The Dance Gypsy is user supported. Find out how you can help support this dancer service. User support is absolutely essential since the Dance Gypsy lists all dances, not just those who advertise.
